July 1st weekend celebrations in Chatham-Kent will start on Saturday June 29 with Flight Fest at the CK Municipal Airport 8528 14th Line in Merlin. The fun starts at 11 A.M. and culminates with a Firework Display at 10 P.M. There will be a spectacular static aircraft display with a variety of aircraft. 
It is a family affair and will feature arts and crafts, food vendors and live music starting at 4 P.M. with Chad Oulds, then at 5:45 P.M. enjoy the Spirit of the 60’s and from 8-10 P.M. a Led Zepplin Tribute with Michael White and the Whites. Enjoy the end to a great day by sitting back and enjoying the fireworks. Bring you chairs and be prepared for a fun time.
Donate a canned food item and receive a chance to win a 1 hour scenic airplane ride for 2 around our great area. Proceeds will go to support Chatham Hope Haven and R.O.C.K. (Reach out Chatham-Kent), making a positive impact in our community. Shuttles will be available to the airport from Chatham and Blenheim. Check their website for locations.
