This is a fairly new event for Chatham Kent but was a huge success last year. We, here in this area, see crows all year but they are more noticeable in the month of October. In some cultures, they are a considered a nuisance but in others represent luck or wisdom. We celebrate them with a special event in Chatham from October 12 to the main events on Friday October the 14th and Saturday October 15th. There is so much going on in Downtown Chatham that you do not want to miss it. There is something for everyone’s tastes.
The Event begins on Wednesday Oct 12th at 11 A.M. with The Olde Crows Tea in the Derby Room at the Retro suites. There will be entertainment and a presentation of the Dueling Pianos at 6 P.M. at the The Garden on King and the River Rock. Thursday October at the Portuguese Club there will be a Dinner and a Murder Mystery. Sounds like a good time. Then on Friday and Saturday, King St. in Downtown Chatham will be a buzz with vendors, street entertainers, music and various events. The event will conclude with the 50/50 draw and a Busk After Dusk Party at 8:30 at the Crowbar, the Sons of Kent at the end of King St.
You do not want to miss this unique event. The committee and their volunteers have worked tirelessly to make this a memorable event for Chatham-Kent. Visit their website for a complete schedule of events. Hope to see you there.
