This coming weekend is a busy one for Chatham-Kent. Gather up the family and enjoy some of the great events taking place Friday June 21 to Sunday June 23rd. Let’s support our local Annual Events that attract so many area residents as well as visitors. Get ready for a fun weekend.
The weekend kicks off with parade at 6:30 Friday night June 21rd in Thamesville marking the beginning of "The Annual Thamesville Threshing Festival"
The parade starts and finishes at Ferguson Park. The park will open at 5 P.M. on Friday evening. There is entertainment, a midway, a beer garden and lots of food. The event continues all day Saturday ending with a fireworks display at 10:15. Fun times for all.In addition, the 11th Annual Classic Car Show takes place on Saturday June 22 from 9 A.M. until 3 P.M. in downtown Blenheim showcasing cars from 1988 and older The cars will line the street with the owners ready to share stories about their prize possessions and their history. There are several great restaurants in Blenheim as well as some unique shops on the main street. Discover this little town. It is a real gem in CK.
Then head to Erieau for their annual "Boulevard of Dreams " from 12-4 P.M. on Sunday June 23th. Cars will line the boulevard as well as vendors booths.
A wonderful opportunity to talk to the proud owners of the Classic cars as well as discover some unique wares. The Church always puts on a Fish Fry and it’s fantastic. Hope to see many of you there.
