This coming weekend August 12-14th, is the 33rd Annual Wallaceburg Wambo. We are winding down in our line-up of Classic Car Events for Chatham-Kent. There are just 3 left for the year. The series starting with Chatham Retro Weekend in May and finishes with two more events on September 10th, the Art Kemp Memorial Car Show in Thamesville and the last RM Cars and Coffee at RM’s location, Blenheim. Where has the summer gone! I hope you got to enjoy at least a few of these wonderful weekends. The committees work hard to organize every last one and although my wife and I did not get to all of them, we did enjoy a lion's share of them. Why travel around the countryside when it all takes place right here? Chatham is the Classic Car Capital of Canada and we certainly live up to that distinction in Chatham-Kent. Visit my website and watch my blogs next year for times and dates.
The Annual Wallaceburg Antique and Motor Boat show, Wambo, kicks off on Friday night with Opening Ceremonies and Bell Ringing at the Civic Park near the fountain.

After the show, visitors wander down along the Sydenham River to see the Classic Vintage boats that come every year from various ports along the Great Lakes. The proud owners are always happy to tell visitors the history of their vessels. There will be activities for the children on the south side at Harbour Court at 6:30 and a Kids Movie Night at 8 P.M. The refreshment tent will be open from 5P.M.-Midnight at the James St. Municipal Parking lot.
