Spectators will line the route to enjoy the parade. When we lived on the River Line, we used to sit in the front yard and invite friends to enjoy the spectacular event. The cars will proceed to Historic Downtown Chatham's King St. where some will cruise the drag and then park to enjoy the many pubs and restaurants.
The cars will start to line up on Chatham's Historic King St. Saturday morning as early as 5 A.M. to get the prime parking places. Festivities on the street and in Tecumseh Park are sheduled from 9 A.M. until 5 P.M. There will be entertainment on the Bandshell fom 4P.M.-11 P.M. with CRUED: Motley Crue Tribute Band finishing the night.
We will be there of course and the whole downtown will be a real hub-bub of activity. I am sure as in past years, people will turn out in great numbers for this special Annual Classic Car Event and the first of many in Chatham-Kent. Visitors are able to get a close up look at these special cars dating back to 1990 and earlier and talk to the proud owners who are more than willing to tell you the history of their prize possessions.. There is always entertainment and food on the street.
Tecumseh Park will be crowded with the many activities, vendor booths and bandshell entertainment.
