It has been a challenging year, no one can deny that but a Chatham-Kent Company has excelled regardless of the economic climate and the Global Pandemic we are experiencing. Handy Bros., a Blenheim- based business is more than 60 years old. It changed hands in 2018. The new owners, brothers, Mitch and Nic White, former employees, had the same values and morals as the long time owners and were a perfect choice to continue the business. They were looking for someone to take over the reins who had the same mindset that has been a huge part of the company’s success and the same caring regard for the staff.
The brothers said they had to adjust over the past year to stay safe and viable in today’s economic market and protect the 50 employees in the company. They said they pivoted, dug deeper, marketed stronger and expanded their reach to Windsor and London. It has paid off.
The company also introduced its ‘Handy Brothers Heroes" internal charity, last year to assist those in need including helping with renovations and organizing donation drives. We have heard wonderful examples of these great projects this past year.
Congratulations to the owners and the caring staff for all they do. I personally have dealt with this company since owning my first home and cannot say enough about the prompt and excellent service they provide. The virtual awards ceremony is planned for June 17 on CK Chamber of Commerce social media sites.
Another example of what Chatham-Kent has to offer. It is the Affordable Liefstyle Location. It is ‘All Here All Year!"
